LYC: So my sister's employer announced that rather than cut people's hours, they're docking all salary employees'pay 25% and suspending 401k matches.

Yes she's thankful she still has some income.
But I'm pretty sure this means she will not qualify for any unemployment contributions, unlike say if she was reduced to 20-30 hours a week.
