I would use it in all the places you mentioned.

And have in two of them.
I thought L.A.'s was supposed to be very poor, but have no knowledge of it.
I just remember a lot of bad about Baltimore buses, such as people just walking on and opening fire. And the drivers seemed like the least safe drivers ever. So I'm biased by that.
