At least 6,362 passengers are onboard the eight ships, several of which were scheduled as months-long, round-the-world voyages.

So it's no ships that cannot find a port. It's ships that are actively on their actual itinerary. It's like being in the International Space Station. By the time they arrive at their destination... it'll be like The Last Ship.
