Seriously.
I've been dealing with the same sort of stuff from some more distant relatives, and it is exhausting. I've been following loosi and trying to teach them some basics of microbiology and epidemiology, and it's just not working. And I've reached my limits like you.
I told one particular cousin earlier today: "Fine. Great. If you don't understand that science is not a democratic inquiry, and that nature doesn't give a [expletive] about what our President says, go ahead. Put your kids back into school. Go back to your wealthy megachurch. Just don't expect me to help you out when you're on a ventilator. Or worse. I'm sure Pastor [Smith] will give you plenty of money from the collection plate when you need it. Or would that be another instance of 'socialism' that you will oppose?"
