I’ve mentioned here that I work for the Cubs, game day guest services which is scanning tickets, seating people and other stuff.

There had been news in March that MLB teams were kicking $1 Million each to support staff as baseball is dead (for now).

Got an email Saturday about that. They have established a *charitable fund* where part-time and seasonal employees can apply for a $500.00 grant.
I’ve done that. We certainly don’t live on the $13.40 per hour, 5-6 hours each home game I’d be missing but, $500 pays a bill or two so I’ll take it.
I read the Atlanta team is paying their people through May 31. Not sure how they are calculating that for hourly employees but if the Cubs were going to pay me 5.5 hours per game through May 31 it would be 30 games and about $2200.00.
Maybe I should have worked for them.
