And as a rule we don't get the monsoons that tear through the Southwest in July/August. I'd say all bets are off for this year.

When we make our trips to the Four Corners in early August I try to leave home at daybreak to be over the Arizona divide before the afternoon thunderstorms hit.
Guess I won't have to worry about that this summer :-(
