If lifting restrictions never comes to pass, then one can’t test the idea of how crazy his proposal is
But that’s what he’s already trying to do— blame China blame who. I suspect those won’t work with the middle electorate who expect American leaders to protect them, yet I’m afraid of the economic devastation being pinned on someone else
What democrats need to do is argue that we are more than capable of helping people who have lost jobs or reduced income. It is not a binary choice. We are not helpless. We are supposedly the richest and most powerful country on earth and we can help people hurt by this if the gop would let us
