You make a player. You get placed on a scouting team, pre-draft. You only play your appearances, ie. you get to bat, run the bases, and whenever the game decides that you'll be involved in a fielding situation, so playing a "game" can take like 8-10mins.

You don't get to assign stats, but you pick an archetype of player to model your guy on. I went with the power hitter and made him a 1st baseman.

After the 2 scout games, I got drafted 2nd overall by the Royals (meh, but whatever).

Pretty fun so far. Only playing your appearances is pretty cool.
