I adore moral rights. It's one of those great legal concepts rooted in 17th Century English common law that survives today largely intact.
It's a relatively minor area of intellectual property law, but it's critically important in entertainment law. It's the reason why (for example) writers contest attribution on movie scripts. You can thank moral rights for providing Mark Millar a screenwriting credit for the movie Wanted, even though he had nothing to do with the script. And why Michael Brandt is credited with the script even though the story and plot had nothing to do with Millar's original comic book series.
VMan provided a great thumbnail definition, but there are a lot of nuances. And it's a fascinating area of law.
