of course there are people who get tattoos to improve their self-esteem or look more macho or badass, etc.
but thats clearly not the case. i decided i wanted something on my body that somehow represented an internal piece of me externally. i did not feel incomplete without it, i did not expect it to improve my life or confidence or looks (although i didnt expect it to make me feel like such shit either). it was an extension of my personality.
i suppose you could say the same for breast implants, but in all seriousness, how much of it is personality based and how much is purely trying to feel sexier?
