Pick a date and hope. Up until recent, it was also a way to hang on to the money so that factored into rescheduling

I'm starting to wonder about the shows I have tickets for in June, July, and August. There's also the Garbage / Alanis show that my brother got us tickets for. No postponement, no cancellations, no need to give refunds
I let AEG hang on to my money for Coachella as well, hell, I'd been paying them from June of last year so they had that in payments from then an in full as of Dec last year.
I bought a ticket last June for the first Primavera Sound in LA which I believe is still scheduled for Sept 19-20, 2020. That could turn out to be longest in advance that I've purchased a ticket if it ends up postponed.
