Going forward, and with immediate effect, PTO will only pay-out at employment termination in states where is it is mandated by law. Currently, the Exception States where accrued and unused PTO would be paid at time of termination are: Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, Rhode Island1 & Vermont and it also includes the country of Canada. The list of “Exception States” may be updated from time-to-time in accordance with emerging legislation.

So, essentially, any PTO earned to this point they can choose to not pay out.
