It was never going to be what he called it. At best it might have helped with certain symptoms.

Anyone that takes that drug isn't the miracle cure that Trump and others called it as bad news was just hoping for hope's sake.
Doctors were using the drug from the beginning as a repurposed malaria drug. If it had any true benefit doctors and health care workers would have been screaming this from the mountain tops.
This is good news because some people who thought there might just be an easy cure just lying on the ground might have to stop and take this virus more seriously. Some people definitely includes the President.
And as Loosi said, people who need the drug for realz will eventually be able to get it again.
