I 1000% percent agree it's the seeds of punk. "I Can See For Miles" is from 1966. It's astonishing.

Townshend is an amazing lyricist. He was the voice of young men coming of age. he got it. He was brilliant and funny and vulnerable.

"Substitute" I think it was from 1965, omg, it's HYSTERICAL

also "I'm a Boy"
