The fact that a guy who's probably shorter than I am (listed at 5' 7" and one knows how those stats go) played shortstop for multiple teams and has two world series rings still amazes me. World Series MVP as well

I swear every single of one his throws just beat the runner to first and it took him a running start to get the ball there on the fly. He seemingly choked so far up the bat that it seemed impossible that he could cover the plate, much less get any power.

With all of those on field accomplishments, he also managed to end up at a point in his life where he's Mr Ashley Eckstein
