So my take on Borderlands 2 so far is that is fun but luckily not super engrossing / creepy like BioShock. So I let myself play on work nights

Playing Borderlands 2, I find myself checking the time occasionally which never happened when I was playing the BioShock games
So I was playing last night and to the point of getting my first vehicle.........
So I remember the posts here about issues with Warthog drivers.......
I'm pretty sure that I threw under the worst of any of those stories. Activated the kiosk, spent about five minutes going through the various options and finally selected. So immediately there's the goal of jumping the gap (paraphrased).
I somehow managed to miss the jump in such a way that I tumbled off to someplace and died. I think this took less than a minute from when I entered the driver seat. Oh, that was after entering the turret seat and trying to figure out how to change places
I would miss again in a non-fatal way and wander around below the jump before figuring out my way back to the ramp. I think it at least three more non-fatal attempts.
On one attempt, I was convinced that I was truly an idiot and managed to the get the car wedged in such a manner that I seemingly couldn't get the car unstuck. I eventually got out of the car, wandered around a bit (both in the game and real life as took a break), got back in and whatever combination of changing direction and forward / reverse eventually got the damn thing unstuck
But all was not lost as made the jump, made some progress and then there was the psychopathic moment of discovery that I realized that you could just run the enemies over. Drag them, run them in the stones...
Oh, and there was the point that I was tediously climbing out of the driver seat, into the gunner seat, shoot up the enemies for the encounter, switch seats move forward and then repeat.
I put the controller down to get a drink while driving which apparently activated the trigger button and lo and behold, the gun fired! wait..evil grin
So now can fire while driving (not super accurate but still) and then realized I can run enemies over (felt super bad about the ones that kind of look like dogs that I tried getting out of vehicle to take them out on foot [that's better???!??] until I realized I was getting my ass kicked...grind 'em under my wheels or at least use the safety of the vehicle to shoot them)
Those combined discoveries had me stay up an hour longer than I planned
