Gang, it's been a crazy week. I've gone from *not* having triple bypass surgery scheduled for tomorrow, to.....the opposite of that
Started noticing occasional tightness in my chest last fall.
Mentioned it to my doctor at my physical a few weeks ago EKG looked good, but she ordered a stress test.
Stress test went poorly. Had a cardiac catheterization last week. Showed a good deal of blockage.
Met with surgeon yesterday. He was pretty concerned over what he saw, so ordered the surgery for tomorrow.
Surgeon seems pretty great. We like the hospital a lot. Plus, it is well rated for its Zombie Apocalypse Survival preparations. I specifically asked about this.
Have been trying to wrap up preparations while not getting too stressed.
Will hopefully be out of hospital by the end of the week. Then, it's just several weeks of recovery at home. I knew there was a reason I kept putting off re-activating my HBO Now account. I'll enjoy recouperating in the warm embrace of Chernobyl's up-with-people wordlview.
