I haven't really ridden all that many to be able to have a least favorite.

Interborough Rapid Transit (numbered lines), Brooklyn Manhattan Transit (J-R, W, Z lines), Independent Subway (A-G, V lines)

ah, the subway has a history. :) It's made of up three lines that were combined. Many people still use the old names (like IRT) -- nm

well, the express stops are clearly differentiated on the map, and trains don't usually change to express, unless they need to adjust for service
