More likely the inverse -- they somehow come off as a cash-poor franchise.

They'll probably cut operations back to save money.
I do figure this will make them keep Chris Davis because they would rather hope and pray he offers something instead of just paying him to do nothing so Ryan Mountcastle might never get to play in Baltimore.
