But I'll add that one of the real problems with this disease is its stealthiness. There are asymptomatic infected, a false negative rate on testing

that is 30%+ and apparently a high false positive rate on antibody testing. So the difficulty of understanding it is a big part of the problem of dealing with it.

- the Roche and Abbott tests detect the virus, not the antibodies. antibody tests are harder to develop, and haven't been entirely nailed down yet. -- nm - mafic May 10, 17:47

      - Yes, but there are 14 tests on the market. Those 3 aren't the only ones being used. Also, even those 3 gave false negatives at least 10% of the time - pmb May 10, 14:53 7
