Yeah, when he started playing he mentioned marching band in HS. That was why this one kind of hurt. No point in trying to force him on this, though.

As long as he throws himself into choir, I will be fine with it. Of course, he may not. But the good thing is, judging by his teacher's comments ("He is so far ahead of the rest that he does not *need* to practice") I expect he could go back to trombone his freshman year of HS and catch up if he wanted to.
