He and his wife have decided to go to their niece's high school graduation party and spend a week in LA. The flight is Newark to LA.
I think he's insane. A virologist who works for NBC has been on the news all week. He flew a few weeks ago, wore mask and gloves the entire time and got sick. He believes he got it through his eyes.
Anyway, right now my partner and I are alternating days in the office for IT support. The NJ stay-at-home doesn't have an end date and will most likely extend to the end of June. I feel like my partner should WFH for 14 days after he returns and also get tested if possible before returning to the office for any reason. That's reasonable, right?

Absolutely. And I agree with spamlet. The two-week period is not absolute, so 3 weeks WFH seems prudent.

Whoa, I can't believe this. Couldn't even tell you what things would be like once he gets here. We're not ourselves, man! -- nm

They’d stick him in a hotel room here and not let him out for two weeks (on both ends, I think), so yeah. Seems reasonable. -- nm

They removed the 14 day requirement at my (previous) company. Because Open America! -- nm

I concur. I'd also say, IMO, he shouldn't fly, but if he does choose to, those are the consequences. -- nm

I'd say it's reasonable. The WFH is no biggie and hopefully by the time he's back they'll have more testing available. We just opened testing up to

When we go back to the office we are mandating 3 weeks of WFH if you travel to an area with known cases.
