Astronauts Bob and Doug (Behnken and Hurley) will launch aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket in a Dragon capsule that will take them to the ISS.

Man, if we could we'd absolutely be there. One of the astronauts is from the kid's high school so she's got even more of a connection.

Sadly, yes. And NASA's own shuttle replacement, the SLS, won't even fly with crew until late 2022 -- (link)
