So take a game like Spider-Man, where it recreates dozens of city blocks around NY. Let's say each city block has 10 mailboxes in the game's version, which is going to result in hundreds of identical items needing to be hardcoded into the visuals because hard drives aren't capable of rendering them in real-time.
With the new ssds, suddenly that item only needs to exist once in the code, since the drives can load them quickly enough into the game dynamically and on demand.
Granted the games are still going to be large, but we'll have to wait and see how that actually translates into the games themselves in November.
