Look into the max length of HDMI cables. If that's too short, maybe a radio based HDMI repeater.

Finally, the most frustrating option: a dumb terminal with VNC or RDP connected to the main PC
Responses:
yeah, RDP might be the best way to go. Or use a chromebook and use Chrome Remote Desktop for the 2nd screen -- nm
