Service industry jobs aren't going anywhere. Those people are stuck in NYC. Or rather, they're stuck commuting into NYC from NJ.

They commute from the boroughs more than anywhere else, not NJ. A lot of NJ commuters work on Wall St., in finance, law and other white collar jobs. - Krusty May 26, 09:19 1
