back in the 80s there was a class action over fees, the settlement was so in their favor I wonder if they didn't sponsor the suit themselves...

to head off future litigation from actual class of plaintiffs. sure the lawyers got millions, but the 'class' got discounts to future shows, ones they would have discounted anyway and charities got free tix, stuff they routinely donated anyway…..and all the fees they added were now grandfathered in...*all* the fees, nothing changed really
