Wait. What? I've only recently had it click with me that John Denver was singing about West Virginia or maybe west Virginia

It has taken me nearly an entire lifetime to realize that he was a pretty solid performer and had some great songs. For most of my life he was the goofy guy on what seemed to me to be a disproportionate amount of my parents' albums.

Then he was the guy that died in a Long EZ which led me to discover...DUDE, that guy was a hell of a pilot....and he owned a Long EZ

But kind of recently I find myself singing along with his songs and even adding some of them to playlists which had led to the more than one than once thought: wait..you chose the name John Denver and rocky mountain high and I get that but Country Roads....West Virginia (Denver?)
