Someone already did the numbers. The 5,xxx deaths come from a table where they count multiple causes and the 918 comes from one of single causes -- (link)

I remember that. It's hard to find a source where pneumonia/flu/COVID are all three separated out - which is part of how they're messing with reporting. -- nm*
