ty, I'd honestly fly over that difference. If you drive, you have to stop. You have to stay in another hotel. -- (edited)

It's basically more vectors for infection versus a concentrated risk. The airplane is going to be cleaner than random truck stops and everyone will be wearing a mask on the plane (and not at the truck stops).

I disagree. The most important factors seem to be length of exposure. Even visiting truck stops and such are very limited and can be managed with

In the airport, I can find a spot away from others. The airline is blocking seats on the plane so you do not sit next to someone. -- nm

Not all airlines are doing that. And you're still easily within 6 feet in all directions, in a very enclosed space.

I can't imagine the anxiety I'd feel flying right now. I'd drive and sleep in the car - but I also own a car and don't need to rent.
