Something good today: For Mom's regular Sunday lunch outing with her and friends, we decided to try Catfish Lane, a food truck about 5 miles away.

I fetched take out. Before COVID-19, we'd go out somewhere for Sunday dinner. Since COVID, we've been eating at her table or mine, with an occasional picnic, and a properly socially distant friend or two.

Today, was amazing. Best fried catfish I've had since I was a kid. Catfish, a couple fried shrimp, collard greens, red beans and rice. Plus a good hunk of cornbread. Same meal I would have growing up in Peoria (with catfish literally being fished out of the Illinois River or Peoria Lake that morning.

Not only the best catfish, but probably the best meal I've had all year.
