When I click from my library, I only get either the "uploads" or "YouTube Music" files depending on where I clicked from.

If I search on the artist itself, then I get to the page you're talking about but there's zero reason to separate these.
Like for instance, The New Pornographers. I have some that I uploaded from discs I owned back in the day. I've also added tracks since then since that's how music works now. When I click on the artist tab, those two groups of songs are separated for me *unless* I specifically search on TNP.
The Artists tab for YouTube Music library is also only listed by most recent added with no other sort. (Uploads is alphabetical, which is better, but still no other sort and tons of wasted space but still no other sorts (genre, year, etc)).
I expect this is even more annoying on mobile.
