But whether he deserved to die or not is not the point I'm making.

The point I'm making is that he was a suspect in a crime that had just happened. There is video of him committing that crime AND most importantly, he did get into a physical altercation with the officer.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that if I got in a fight with a cop and tried to take his gun that I'd get my ass shot.
However, I'd never have a cop kneel on my neck for 9 minutes. I'd never be shot in my car through the window.
That's how I think they're different. And when a large part of the whole movement is to educate people and change a line of thinking - putting up an example of a situation where a lot of cops would shoot doesn't necessarily help the cause.
