i honestly think the fact that he HAD committed a crime bolsters the argument - it's easy to say that an innocent person being murdered by police is

a bad thing.
it should not be up for debate that committing a crime and being detained gives police the authority to kill someone. you said it: it's a situation where a lot of cops would shoot. that's unacceptable, but has been accepted as "the way it is."
