It's really simple - if you have to explain it over and over and over - it's a weak slogan. Period. If the other side can rally around YOUR slogan

and make it work FOR THEM - it's a bad slogan.
The bottom line is - from now until the election - you can expect to see sound bite after sound bite and opinion piece after opinion piece and rally after rally where they pound into their followers that the democrats and the liberals want to cut all funding to the police departments.
From now until the election - people like us are going to have to say it over and over again and explain it over and over again. And at the end of the day - it won't matter one goddam bit.
No one is saying to change the meaning or what it stands for - just fucking brand it better. Brand it so it can't be challenged so easy.
