They don't need the money, they're getting plenty. Other agencies need more money and the work needs to be shifted away from the police freeing them

We need to better fund homeless and mental health services and to stop using the cops to deal with both the homeless and those in a mental health crisis.
We need to let civilians do the clerical work that police are currently doing. There are a lot of jobs that civilians can do that the police do today. That would all be done for half to a third of the current cost.
The police are funded as well as anyone and have plenty of money to be shifted and cut without harming the safety of the communities.
