Right. It is extremely confusing. Because in my mind this money would be used for current policing functions, but that doesn't mean they remain in

the police portion of public safety. I much prefer the slogan "Reimagine Policing". I think that reflects the idea of taking public safety functions and redistributing those functions (and funds) to a more effective and less police focused place.
