Oh, he absolutely did. He was stunned when the NYT didn't respect him any more than previously. Notice how he's most offended by NYC institutions? -- (edited)

NYT, Broadway, all the major broadcast networks, CNN news desk, SNL. He thought they would all FINALLY be required to show him deference.
