It puts the blade at the correct angle in an almost foolproof way as well as it allows for one continuous pass from front of head or back to front.
That whole neckline being straight as well as being even in general. All of the fears of never getting that right is why I've chosen to shave.
Very binary. Is there hair/stubble? Shave. Still stubble? Shave again
No worries about getting things straight or even 8-)
