It’s out of context to anyone who doesn’t play the game. Magic has 5 colors. Black is one of the colors. It doesn’t have anything to do with race.

The enemies of the color white are black and red.
The allies of the color white are blue and green.

This is mostly easily shown via the back of every Magic card. The 5 color orbs are in a particular order where allies are next to one another, and enemies are across.
