I'm on the reporters side. But journalism in general has sucked for a long time. Example from the NPR story.

"Burris did not address an incident that occurred at the same time involving a white reporter who was allowed to file stories on the protests despite his own tweet disparaging a man accused of looting. *He was allowed to file under the disparity was pointed out by the union, as NPR first reported on Monday*."
The second sentence. I don't even know which word is incorrect but somethings wrong when I read it 5 times and it doesn't make sense to me. Seem true "editors" aren't important anymore.
