I'd go on a cruise tomorrow if it were super cheap.

but you view cruises differently.
We like to get a balcony room, and could literally be in the cabin (with a balcony) for 5 days straight, and have them bring us food daily. We'd be fine with that.
(I can't imagine doing that in an *interior* room, though.)
To me, the cabin/view/ocean/fresh air are the vacation.
