It's funny that, aesthetically, they already are like that.

At least mine. XBox is a square box, the PS4 is sleek. But the colors are reversed.
I don't think Microsoft will have the same number of first-party games that will have me as excited as HZ2, SM2, and GT7.
But the middle of the presentation was, for me, ho-hum.
In any case, I would be an early adopter if I had a better TV. As it is, right now, I'm a late adopter.
