FandangoNow isn't synching with MoviesAnywhere: I have a movie I purchased in FandangoNow and I want to watch it. It won't synch with MA so I can't get it into Vudu, my preferred streaming platform. Solution: Watch it in the FandangoNow app.
FandangoNow isn't showing up in my Roku: I've removed the FandangoNow apps from my Roku and I can't find them. Thanks to ST, I know I need to re-add the apps which are mysteriously labeled "Movie Store by Fandango" and "TV Store by Fandango". Solution: Restore the apps in Roku.
Cannot restore FandangoNow apps in Roku: Even after resetting it online, my Roku PIN doesn't work. Elsewhere in the Roku app, that same PIN did work. Solution: Reset the Roku. I now have the FandangoNow app and access to the movie, but my FandangoNow account still won't synch with MA.
Comcast's Xfinity app doesn't show any shows or channels: After resetting my Roku, I need to re-login to all my apps. Now when I login to the Xfinity Stream app, it only shows me my "Purchases" (basically, my MA movies). No channels or shows. According to forum posts, I need to speak to someone in the special "app tech support" unit at Comcast so they can re-provision my permissions. Solution: Call Comcast. That goes about as well as you'd expect. Even after getting to a menu that, supposedly, will get me to an actual person, they put me in a constant loop in voicemail saying I can find all my answers online. So I give up and try the web chat. Turns out to be surprisingly successful. The issue is related to my recent move. Comcast provisions a new account for you when you move (it's a pretty bad workflow which causes chaos in your billing and - evidently - your permissioning, too). While I can access both my addresses through my account online, it turns out my old address is set as "Primary" and it's as simply as clicking a "Set as Primary" button on my new address. I reinstall the app, re-authorize, and presto!
FandangoNow won't synch with MA: A tech support agent through the web chat confesses that this is likely due to the merger of Fandango and FandangoNow accounts through the Fandango VIP thing. MA clearly believes I'm not linked to FandangoNow. But when I try to link, FandangoNow says that I *am* linked. FandangoNow needs to *release* MA so I can then re-connect. Days of back and forth and promises that this will be escalated to the Corporate Office produce no results. Solution: Create a new Fandango VIP account just for FandangoNow, and link that one with MA. They promise they'll move all my FandangoNow purchases from the old account to the new account. In the meantime, my Fandango ticket purchases, history, points, etc., will remain in my *other* Fandango VIP account. I now have two Fandango VIP accounts. I don't consider this "fixed". Once they do move all my FandangoNow purchases to my new account, I'm going to abandon FandangoNow and look into how to close my account entirely.
The computer desk I ordered through Groupon hasn't shipped: Back in May I purchases a computer desk through Groupon. After weeks of no movement in the shipment, Groupon agreed to cancel the order (no refund, just credit... WTF?!) But they use the credit to re-order the desk. I'm back to square one. No movement on this shipment. It's a good price so I'm not willing to give up yet, but the price is irrelevant if you get nothing for it. I'll wait a little longer. But if I cancel, I demand a full refund. It's not like I got the desk and didn't like it. You can't charge someone for something, not deliver, then say "We're gonna hold on to your money."
Refund my last booking through Expedia: I was supposed to travel to Canada back in March, pretty much a week after the whole quarantine happened. So I canceled everything. There was one hotel that was a "no refund" booking. I didn't sweat it. Shit happens. But I figured recently I'd inquire about a refund. Expedia said yesterday they'd refund it. *fingers crossed*
Refund my hockey tickets: While in Canada, I was going to attend a hockey game. When the NHL season was suspended, I expected I'd get a refund, but no news on that. For the longest time I could login to their app and see my tickets were still there. Finally the NHL announced that the season had been canceled and there would be refunds. Still, the tickets sat there, in the app. Now the app appears to have been revamped. No more tickets. No refund. Their website's link to Customer Service is 404 Not Found. Shady shit. Just give out refunds or I'll burn you to the ground!
