when I started to build my current PC three years ago, I think i cheaped out on the CPU, and got an I5 6600k. which sounds good, but the only serious upgrade available is it a i7 7700k, and for the same price as that processor I could get a Ryzen 3600 and a new mb (would need new ram).

so not sure its worth it. my GPU still provides decent stuff at 1080 gaming, so I should probably just keep going with the specs for another year or so.
