i only really notice the issue on my pc when on I play Stellaris, and as it gets to late game, the CPU -- (edited)

starts running at 100% to process the turns, and it gets very laggy.
so I might just start planning on a parts replacement next year (CPU, board, and ram) and then maybe see what I can use the previous parts for (overpowered MAME machine maybe).
