Both those sentences are correct. But to me it symbolizes a larger problem with some "progressives'

It makes me think of the people who jumped Mark Kelly's shit on Twitter for daring to quote Winston Churchill.

It seems to me that a very vocal (I have no idea how large they really are) group demands absolute moral perfection from folks. And they don't seem to accept that due to a series of previous choices, ultimately life leaves you with a binary choice.

Ulysses S. Grant or Robert E. Lee. Winston Churchill or Herr Hitler. Hillary Clinton or the current POTUS.
