Licensing fees for venues are automatic, assuming they're signed on. Copyright doesn't apply, because you're not publishing it.

It’s not so much copyright it is public performance RIAA rules. You have to buy a license like a club. -- nm

Yes, most venues have a license to cover for any music played, not the vendors, renters, as would the DJ -- nm
