I didn't think there were false positive, only false negative because of the type of test.

It does depend on the test, but because they're testing for the RNA of the virus, it doesn't distinguish between living and dead material -- (link)

She has been tested several times. Renee Young, who also has it, got a negative test back on Friday but a positive test on Tuesday.
