There are plenty of fast food places that do hot dogs, but they are mostly local independent places that have been around for ages. -- (edited)

They specialze in whatever the local version is with the proper condiments and people trust that. The only chain I can think of that does hot dogs is Portillos, and that's how they started and they do Chicago dogs.
